Last week, we did something that the boys had never done before....made caramel apples. The caramels were free at HEB and we had tons of apples that Michael had picked up at Central Market a week or so ago that really needed to be eaten. It was a no-brainer! :-) I had the boys unwrap the caramels and then we melted them, rolled the apples in the sticky-gooey caramel and enjoyed the caramel apples. The boys really liked them. I had to take the cores away from them or they would have eaten the cores dipped in the extra caramel! We have some more caramels left, and still lots of apples, so I'm sure we'll be doing this again very soon. It was just a very delightful way to spend a fall evening.
