"She looks well to the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness" Proverbs 31:27

Oh, what a beautiful mornin'...
I went outside this morning and let out my best Shirley Jones impression. Shirley Jones, not as Mama Partidge, but as what's her name in Oklahoma. What was her name??? Anyway, I didn't really sing because everyone was asleep, but I did hum it and think it in my head. Today marks one of my very favorite day of the year...the first cold front!! I REALLY LOVE cold fronts. Ok, so in south-central Texas a "cold front" means the humidity has dropped to below 60%, there's a breeze from the North and the low today is 70 and the high is only 85! But hey, I'll take what I can get. All the windows and doors are opened wide and the AC is OFF! In fact, I think I might just have to make a pumpkin pie...or snickerdoodles. This brisk air just makes me feel so great and refreshed. I'll definitely light the pumpkin candles and maybe even drag out the fall decorations. I'm going to curb my temptation to check the weather in Memphis or Tulsa or even Littlefield, TX, Portland, OR or certainly not sunny Southern California because I don't want to covet my neighbors' weather. I will just say "This is the day the Lord has made. I WILL rejoice and be glad in it!"
