Spring, spring, spring

To quote a line from a song from one of our favorite movies "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers"

"Well, the barnyard is busy, in a regular tizzy
And the obvious reason is because of the season.
Ma Nature's lyrical with her yearly miracle....
Spring, Spring, Spring"

I've sung this song to myself so many times over the last few weeks. The wildflowers (esp. bluebonnets) are out like crazy around our property. We've NEVER seen them out like this before. And it's BEAUTIFUL!!! These pictures really can't do it justice and now there are purple flowers and yellow flowers and white flowers and even some red ones mixed in with the bluebonnets. It's like a Monet painting, but in real life! Here's some glimpses of the lovely spring going on around our place....

Lovely isn't it!

That is SO beautiful!! The chickens in the bluebonnets is the best. Wish I could see it in person. But thanks for posting the pictures anyway for us out of towners. :-) Is it legal to pick them in your yard? Those would be beautiful centerpieces!

I'm guessing it's legal. I'm hoping it's legal, b/c the boys have picked some! When there are 20,000 bluebonnets out there, who's gonna notice?? :-) And if the authorities came out here suspicious of that, they would probably be susupicious of other things as well.... :-)

I LOVE THAT MOVIE! And the bluebonnets are crazy this year! I've only been here a year, but I was here this same time last year, and there were not that many out. Very pretty...
