Pads and the heat

Yesterday was the first football practice in pads, and to really welcome them, I think the weather was the hottest day of football yet, and no rain to cool things off. Don't they look handsome! (These pics were actually taken in May at football camp. Jonathan is now just about even height and weight wise with Jeremy now). We had to call my dad (because we couldn't reach Michael on the phone) to get an over-the-phone refresher on how to loop the belt throught the pads and pants. I have NO idea!! French braided hair, cross stitch, chain stitch crochet, yes...football belts and pads...nope!

They've been moved up to the A team in football AND J&J said that the coach had a talk with the other leaders on the team (who have played for at least 2 years before) and told them that if they didn't kick it up a notch, there were a set of twins who would be taking their places on first string. They were really proud of that. Jeremy's doing great and realizing I think that maybe football isn't so horrible after all. Games start in a couple of weeks. That'll be lots of fun!!
